Introduction
Welcome to the main page for cent/penny collecting articles. Technically, the small coin many of us call a penny is actually a cent. In its present size and shape, the cent has been around for over 150 years. Prior to 1857, the cent was a much larger and bulkier coin. Many collectors cut their teeth on collecting cents, mostly Lincoln Cents. Today, more cents have been minted than any other coin. To the left, you will find links to articles about the various "cents" that have been made, such as half cents, large cents, Fyling Eagle/Indian Head Cents, Lincoln Cents, Steel Cents, etc.
