Introduction

Welcome to the main page for articles about Mercury Dimes.  Of all the different series of dimes, the Mercury Dime is likely the most collected.  Despite the low mintage of the 1916-D,  It is a set that can be put together very quickly.  The Mercury Dime was minted from 1916 through 1945 when it was replaced by the Roosevelt Dime.

The Mercury Dime was designed by Adolph Weinman and also referred to as the Winged Liberty Head dime.
