Articles About Walking Liberty Half Dollars

The Walking Liberty half dollar is a silver half dollar coin issued by the United States Mint from 1916 to 1947; it was designed by Adolph A. Weinman.  It replaced the Barber Half Dollar and was replaced by the Franklin Half Dollar.

Many collectors consider this design to be one of the most beautiful of all US coin designs and is a very popular coin to collect. The popularity of the design was so great, that a slightly modified design has been used on the Silver Eagle program since 1986.  This also has been a very popular Mint product.
